FLOWERS!

Ok last post for today.. Sorry that there were so many, it's been a while and I'd been working on a bunch of different things.  The last group here are some paintings I've done from photos I found on Pinterest.  I know there's probably some rule that I'm not allowed to paint these, but I couldn't help myself! I like pretty flowers! Deal with it!!.. but please don't sue me. Thanks!

Aminals.. Yes, Aminals.

I've been on a kick lately of painting wild animals. I've only done a few so far, but I thought I'd share!

Waves

I love waves.  So much.  I could draw and paint them all day- it's just relaxing and it reminds me of my childhood.  Here's one I painted for my dad one of his favorite surf breaks - Burn Out.

This Trader Joe's greeting card was amazballs, so...

Sometimes you can't help what you want to paint, right?  So if I had found a really cool card at Trader Joe's with a really cool painting and I decided to paint a mini copy of it for myself and then share it regardless of copyright laws, that's okay right?  I used it as an excuse to show my students how I go about painting pictures. lol?

Pie in the Sky!

There's this place near Rock Creak in Mammoth that sells slices of the best homemade pies you will ever eat called Pie in the Sky.  My family and I make it a point to go there every time were in the area and its always amazing.  Anyways, I made this hand-painted sign for my mom to put in her kitchen last year and I finally remembered to get a picture of it.

The design itself is based on the sign outside of the general store/cafe, but with a little more "me" in it.  I hope you all like it!

DOCTOR WHO?!?!

Not gonna lie guys, I'm a huge Doctor Who fan.

I made this TARDIS painting for my little seester-in-law (she's 14) and she absolutely loved it!  It's a good thing I know other fans, of my apartment would be bursting with Fan Art.  I try to keep it all in the office for inspiration and so my non-nerd friends won't judge me (jk)!

This next quick mini-painting I did for myself... because I couldn't help it.. Because the Adipose are too freaking cute! Enjoy!!

Art Experience Nights

Here's an example I made for an Art Night my boss hosted at the South Coast Botanical Gardens in Palos Verdes, CA this past November.  Check out our website http://www.artexperiencestudio.com for more information on upcoming projects and events! :)

My husband needed some designs for his YouTube stuff, so...

Hey everyone! Me again.. Sorry it's been a while but I've been super busy.  ANYWAYS, my husband needed a bit of artwork done for his YouTube channels (Summer Babies Comedy and Pit Nap) and podcast (called Bad Juju).  Check them out.. They're super funny!  Anyways, here's the art I did for their YouTube banners and profile pictures etc..

This first image is just a few caricatures of my husband and each of the Bad Juju cast!  I've always had trouble doing caricatures, but this was some great practice AND it was a lot of fun!

My husband really wanted me to try and combine his face with his BFF Dan's face.  They have a show called Thank You Cat on YouTube and it's totally random, kid friendly, and hilarious.  They will be doing newer episodes in the future, but Dan and his wife just had an adorable baby girl(!!!!) so he's on paternity leave for the time being.

This piece was a lot of fun because it combines my paper cut-out style with a bit of digital painting and line work... and I have to say, I couldn't stop giggling the whole time I was working on it.

Okay, last one for this post! I made my husband and his friend into 8-bit characters.  I can't say this was easy on my OCD, but I will say that it was very satisfying to create something totally outside of my style.  I have to admit, it was fun to make too and I really love how it turned out!

Creepy Clown

Here's a "creepy" clown I made for my friend a few months ago.... She laughed at me because I tried to make it scary, but it still turned out kinda cute.  I guess I just like happy things..
